The canning tomato share is an opportunity for CSA members to get extra bulk tomatoes for preservation - canning or freezing - so that farm tomatoes can be enjoyed through the winter months!  Here, the same organically grown, heirloom tomatoes are offered at a below market price. 

Canning shares are sold in June (see our newsletters) and are usually distributed from late July through early September depending on weather and growing conditions.
