Classes for Adults

Understanding the importance of sustainable farming, and local food systems helps us make healthier food choices for ourselves and our community. Our adult programs encourage participants to improve the health of their family and community, by enhancing their connection to food and the environment. Registration and payment are required in advance. Refunds are not available for missed classes.

  • Plant-based Cooking in July

    Summer sides: Plant-based cooking for hot days when you don’t want to turn the stove on, parties, and BBQs- using your late July/early August harvest. Will include information on quick and shelf-stable pickling. 

     

     

  • Getting Cultured with Pennypack Farm

    Join us as we explore how to set up basic vegetable ferments for success.

  • Knife Skills 101

    Mastering the skills of chopping, mincing, and julienne will give you the confidence you need to tackle any recipe with success and open for you the world of relaxed cooking. Learn from Chef Kathy Daddario in this hands-on class in the relaxed atmosphere of her kitchen.

     

     

  • Knife Skills II

    In the second class in this series, you will build upon what you learned in Knife Skills 101

    Mastering the skills of chopping, mincing, and julienne will give you the confidence you need to tackle any recipe with success and open for you the world of relaxed cooking. Make your food preparation a time of pleasure! 

  • Plant-based Cooking in August

    Discover how to incorporate more vegetables into your diet. Each class menu will highlight what is in season that month at Pennypack Farm, using the less common CSA finds, and using plant-based dishes as mains or sides along with tips on how to prep/plan for the week. These will be interactive classes.
