Fermented food is more nutritious than fresh food, it is full of beneficial probiotics and it tastes good! Join us as we explore how to set up basic vegetable ferments for success.
You will leave the class with a started veggie ferment or two. As a bonus, you will also have the opportunity to bring home your own Kombucha SCOBY along with instructions.
Kids are welcome to join their adults for this class - kids 12 and under can attend for free!
Participants should bring:
- cutting board
- chefs knife
- vegetable peeler
- dish towel, apron
- one or two qaurt size glass jars with lids (jars can also be purchased cheaply in class)
- optional pickling herbs and spices of your choosing (garlic, peppercorns, dill, ginger, coriander are all nice additions)
